Airing of Grievences

OK, this will be my airing of grievances. You should all feel very sorry for me. I've had a rough couple of weeks.

First of all, it has been 12 days since we've blogged. That makes me mad.

Then, my favorite couch was taken away. Remember my 30 year old, cushions blown, hand me down sofa in the Mancave I loved? How it supported my tush so perfectly?

Well, it got replaced with these!

Then, last weekend, I was abandoned for 3 days while my beans went to a wedding. True, I had my grandbeans coming by to spoil me but it wasn't the same.

Then mommy was "busy" all week taking care of the house for....house guests! That is what those new sofas were for. The three sticky little people that were coming to stay! AND their parents came and they all brought.....

this thing! This thing that got belly rubs from MY daddy and mommy and attention from MY blurpy boy. This kitty eating furball was in MY house and took over MY Mancave.

As you can see I did NOT like having it in the house AT ALL. I hid under the coffee table and Bendrix & I grooooooooooowled and hissed at it.

I wasn't scared, I faced it like a true Mancat. When I wasn't under the coffee table that is.

a blury picture of my scary scary Halloween hissing pose cause mommy was racing to get between me and the woofie when she snapped it

The only redeeming thing is that the sticky little people like cats, especially one of them and I got lots of extra pets and scritches.

Hendrix's mommy here: River the woofie is the sweetest thing, not a kitty eater. He barely acknowledged that Hendrix was around. And before anyone thinks we just left Hendrix to fend for himself, we had plenty of places for him to get away from it all where the kids and woofie could not follow. He chose to stay in the middle of it. We didn't want to lock him in his "safe room" all weekend because A. that isn't fair and B. it was in the upper 90's all weekend and muggy and that room gets hot hot hot. He wouldn't be comfy. BUT he could get there thru this kid proof & woofie proof gate

Or be in the dining room on his favorite chair which he easily accesses thru this gate.

That was really quite an ordeal you had, but fortunately you made it through just fine!

But Hendrix has to air his grievances his way. It was a kitty eating woofie. It was a death defying ordeal.

Don't worry, Hendrix,we understand how humans try to play things down when we're involved. But when it's their grievances ... exaggeration time!

Hendrix, we're glad you survived all of that! Bad enough having sticky little people around, but a kitty eating woofie too??!? How horrible!! And what's with the no blogging for so long?? That's the biggest travesty!!!

It sounds like a stressful time, but the extra pets and scritches must have made it worth it.

Have a great day!

Poor Hendrix... sticky human kittens and d*gs too. Justice must be done.

Hendrix this is an abomninable case of neglect, torment and extremely cruel and unusual torture. We think you dealt with it all very well and retained your dignity amidst this shocking invasion.

We have found an enormous violin and we are playin' it loud for you dude!

Whicky Wuudler ;)

PS: Our ape just said "aww look at lovely River, what a sweet dog" so we will now, collectively bite her big fat ape butt, for you and justice!

Let us tell you Mr. Hendrix, we have a woofie cousin that looks just like that woofie and believe me, the kitties that live in our cousin's house are the boss! And we can't believe you lost YOUR mancave couch!

Sounds like you've had a rough go of it lately, Hendrix. Hopefully, you'll now get some peace.

You have had a really rough time! We hope life is getting better!

Dooood...I was thinking those new sofas looked pretty sweet, but then I saw the dog. Now, I had a dog like that and he was a very fine dog, but I wouldn't want to have another one just pop up. That was just rude... I'm glad he didn't eat you, though...

Sorry about the sofa, Hendrix-man.

The problem with woofies visiting for a few days is it takes us cats a while to adjust to them - you can adjust to one who LIVES with you, but a visitor is different. But I am glad your folks set up gates that you could go through but the woofie could not.

It is not fun to haf a strange woofie in yoor house, we know da mom sez he was a sweet woofie but ya gotta set boundries! Maybe if da woofie was one dat yoo lived wif fur awhile and yoo had a chance to train it, well dat would be difrint. Sticky little peepole who are willing to give good scritches and pets are okay tho.

pee ess - yoo should enter dat stoopid skwerrel in Monty's doing da Q contest...stoopid skwerrel.

Sweetie, woofies are mostly nice. My friend Maggie lives with kitties and even plays kitty games with them. And Lizzie, my former neighbor, was really nice. But you gotta get to know them before you can let your guard down. That is definitely true.
But as for the couch, ooh, I know how that goes. We lost our couch last October....
Did I read YOUR blurpy brother??? See, I knew you could be pals!!!
your Sugar Pie.
P.S. No cuddle cup found yet. But remember, the rocking chair is MINE. And it's big enough to share. Stay cool, and find a good place to hide when the boomies come on the fourth.

Hi Mr H! We can totally sympathize about the couch - they took ours away on Friday and replaced it. What is up with beans and new couches? But the rest, well, we don't even want to imagine what that was like!! IT sounds awful!
