Well gang, it has been a crazy week here. I'd not been feeling up to snuff early last week. I bomited once and my litterbox droppings (usually done so routinely you could set your watch by them) were not good. So, Thursday I went to the VET. I had got my temp taken, had my tummy squeezed, but worst of all, I got my tushy "expressed." Kitties, you don't ever want that.
I am not a well behaved kitty at the VET. My evil alter Bendrix has notches on the window sill of the VETs and VETtechs he has scarred. When we heard that after all the above, I would get my blood stolen, get shot in the tushy, we both teamed up and went bonkers. Finally the VET asked mommy if she'd be OK with me getting "gassed." What!?! She said "yes!" I said "%#@&^!" then zzzzzzzzzzzzz
I woke up in my PTU. So, from now on, when I go to the VET, they will immediately give me a shot of gas to make me sleep. How fair is that? I say "hey there VET guy, take it like a man. Man-o E-Man-o"
Turns out my IBS flaired up and I was "backed up" even with the Laxitone every other day. I also have a bladder infection. I have to take pills for 10 days. Bendrix & I have taken to scarring mommy and daddy when it is pill time. I think Grr would be proud. They look like they've wrestled rose bushes. snicker.
This is me telling Mini Me all about it.
Hendrix's mommy here: Yup, It has gotten to the point where Hendrix has to be gassed to be at the VET. The doctor says there are a handful of cats they do that for. It is better because they sleep through the whole thing which is safer and less stressful for all concerned especially Hendrix. He'd only be out for a few minutes and would wake up in his carrier. I wish I'd known they could do that, I would have requested it. I really think this is best for him.
Along with him being sick & us working, we had a surprise 30th birthday for my brother Sat. It went great and Hendrix got a lot of nice attention. He spent most of the time upstairs in his safe room (with the door open so he would be less stressed) but he likes people telling him how handsome he is.
He is still not feeling like himself so any nice thoughts you could send his way would be great.
Our purrs and prayers are with our friend Monty Q's family and his BabyBean who was burned really bad. Thank you for the graphic Skeezix.
