First, thank you all for the caring words for my family. My mommy does the family jeane- gene- um, family tree so she and my GGma were close. It was a tough day Saturday when they all gathered to say good-bye, but all took comfort in the fact she is no longer in pain and is reunited with all those she loved who went before. I will come around this week and thank everyone individually. purrrrrrrrrrrrrrs
Second, when mommy brought the walking machine into the house I was a little concerned about my "winter weight" not befitting a sleek House Panther. After many hours of sitting and grooming on it (no worries folks, it was not acutally ON) I was getting obsessed! Am I to big, could I ever be a snoopermodel with these thighs? Then mommy and I read on yahoo that the key to keeping a healthy weight is getting enough rest. Well thank Bast! I'm already ahead of the game!
No more "winter weight" worries for me. I'll just sleep the extra pounds off!

Is there room in that sunspot for me, Hendrix? I could stand to lose a few, too!
My mom says:"I've lost my dad-three years ago to Cancer-it was sudden. And it never fails to astonish me that I've grown old enough to see my family-parents, grandparents, etc.-leave. Sometimes I think it just can't be real. Other times I remind myself I'm the grownup now. I'm sorry you lost your GGma, but so glad she's not in pain anymore-that's the hardest part, isn't it?"
Dat's a grate plan, Hendrix! Sleepin the wait off is purrfect. Acourse, it don't hurt to race thru the howse like yur butts on fyre at o-dark thirty efurry week or two, too.

Hendrix, I am very sorry for the loss in your family. My sincerest sympathies and soft purrs.
Mom read that weight loss article too. SInce Dr Hedtor told me that I needed to loose a pound, Mom and I are trying to get more sleep!
That's a good way to deal with weight, dood, but I'd roll over if I was you. Sleeping like that just invites People to try to fluff your belly while you're snoozing. And I, for one, find that rude.
Sorry to hear about your family's loss. I am sure you are being a big comfort to your Mommy.
Yay for sleeping for weight loss. Keep everyone posted on how this works. Thanks for visiting our blog, and I will add you to our list.

We say there's no such thing as winter weight for cats. We are what we are! (But I like the idea of sleeping stuff off.)
You look very relaxed Hendrix and it is good that you are taking care of your family. I bet you got all tuckered out doing that sudoku for your mom.
We have been purrring for your family.
Love always, Princess
You look like you are already becoming an expert on sleeping the weight off. We are continuing to purr for all of you.
Tavi, Cody, Camie, Miss Jade and NK
That looks a good way to lose weight. Dad weighed me last week and I haven't lost a single ounce even though mum is only giving me half the crunchies I used to have.
Eric
We know how hard it is to say goodbye to someone you love and will keep sending you purrs.
We didn't realize that sleeping was a cure for "winter weight" so we're going to go take a nap right now!!
