Midnight Monday

We House Panthers know instinctively to keep our eyes focused for any available prey. Now, I know he is the daddy, but when it is hot and he is mowing the lawn...vultures circle. snicker I kid you not. Last summer, a turkey vulture landed in the yard while he was mowing. I never laughed so hard!!

I can't help it, I watch him like a weak gazelle moving back and forth, back and forth.

Of course we House Panthers get to watch out for weak prey from very comfortable perches...like beds.

Hi Hendrix!
Thank you for your sweet shout out to me and Chewy around my birthday. It made my mom and I feel all warm and fuzzy! I would like to thank your friends for their good wishes too. :)
You really are the best NOMSS ever!
So my new blog is ready now (go ahead and click on my profile to get to my blog!), but because my mom is useless, I have hardly even gotten around to tell anyone about it. One day soon I will update it and then get back into the swing of things and visit my friends!!
Love Clover xo

Your Daddy's prey! LOL We have those here, and wild turkeys, and vicious deer :-0, but they don't usually go after Sunny's Daddy. Your Daddy must be extra special and smell really yummy :-D

You're funny, Mr. Hendrix! I hope vultures don't really take your dad away.

We laughed just seeing the pictures. We'd have laughed ourselves silly if we saw it IRL!

(P.S. Give your mum a snuggle from us).

I like to watch the Woman mow. It makes me feel good knowing I'm inside where the cool air blowing thingy is, and she's out there sweating :)

Turkey Vultures are kinda cool - huge and hideous but kinda cool! We have them at the swamp sometimes. Just how close did it land to your daddy? heh, heh, heh!

You are a mighty panther Hendrix and you look like stealthily stalking your prey for a quick ambush..

Zeus said...

Turkey vultures? That sounds scary. Weren't you afraid your human pet was about to be eaten?

Shilgiah the Cat said...

Isn't laughing at our humans what we cats are supposed to do? You have an especially humorous dad. I'll bet he mows the lawn like he does just to give you house panthers a cuckle or two.

You know Hendrix, I wouldn't worry about it. Unless of course you think someone might expect YOU to get out there and cut the grass. Then you must stress how tired you are and how you need to stay in bed.

A turkey vulture ... haaaaa haaaaa! We hope your Daddy came out of the mowing unscathed! Momma and Daddy have those at their country place, but we don't have them in the city! A lot of pidgeons, though, that poop all over the place!
