Sleepin on Saturday
The bed looks totally fine to me as is. I'll hang here and you can finish making the bed later. *waves paw* Leave me now.
Things have been very interesting around here.
The gates are back up around the dining room because Joel has been harassing me so much. I get that he thinks I'm in the bees knees (I am after all) but sometimes I need a break. It used to be that I wouldn't go in a gated off room because I felt apart from things and didn't want to be "given" my territory. Now I am perfectly content to hang there until the boy settles down or goes for a nap. I'm still getting plenty of attention so it is OK.
My beans tiled and painted the kitchen and painted a bathroom and they are happy with those projects being done. All the patio tiles daddy put in 2 years ago were all screwy so he is redoing those with grout. I'm glad I'm just in the A/C while they sweat it out doing yard work.
Then my mommy has been having eye trouble for a couple months now. She thought it was allergies or dry eye or something like that. Turns out it was a bad reaction to the gas perm contacts she has worn for 25 years. She has little abrasions and a lot of irritation. She can't wear contacts for 3 weeks (then switch to soft lenses) and has to squirt steroids in her eyes.
Do you think she'll become a good baseball player now?
Now she has poison ivy all over her arms, legs and even her face! ha ha ha snort Um, I mean, it is really terrible. That is what she gets for taking a perfectly good "Joel Free" day (when he goes to a grandbean's house for an entire day) and wasting it outside doing yard work instead of hanging out in the A/C with me, petting me, giving me treats and generally putting me at the center of the universe...
I'm kinds sick of her whining so I hope it clears up soon.
Anyway, the weather here has gone from March to August so we're all sweating it out like crazy. I hope all of you are doing well and staying safe.

Poison Ivy is evil! WE hope your Mom gets better soon. At least you have Joel free areas!
Mr. Hendrix, I hope your mom gets better so soon !!!
xoxo
My goodness listen to all that is going on there! Our purrs!
Between your human kitten and your humans, it sounds like things have been going nonstop at your place! And yeah, your human deserved what she got for being outside and not spending time catering to your every whim! Maybe she will know better next time.
Purrs for your mom to get better soon. Sheesh, she seems to be a walking disaster!
You're lucky to be left alone on that bed. My unconsiderate SS shoos me off the bed unceremoniously under such situation.
Gees, we hope your mom is better soon! Lots of purrs from us!
Hurrah for Joel-free time. LOL!
Have a good weekend!
Wooo hooo sticky bean free time!!!! :)
Hmmm, why isn't JOEL in a cage, that's what we want to know.
Hendrix, our Mommy was dumb enough to weed-whack poison ivy once. And she breathed in the mist as well as getting spattered ALL over. Long story short, she took steroids for two weeks and they made her REALLY crabby. But her baseball skills stayed pretty bad...
Purrs for your Mom Mr Hendrix,we know that poison ivy is icky.
And purrs to you on your Joel free zone.

Abby
Ohoh, da evil poisoned ivy! Mom hadded it so bad one time it gots in her eyes, her mouf and even..um, where she wipes (sorry, but it was purrty funny). She's really sensitive to it so it can be far away and blow on her in da breeze and she gets it so she feels fur yoor mom. We don't think dem steroids is gonna do anything fur her baseball playing. We'z glad to hear from yoo, we was just thinking about yoo dis morning...really, we was wondring how yoo were doing.
Yup!! All bed belong to the kitty ;) Good thing you are getting spoiled and have a nice climate controlled living space :)
Sorry about your Mom's eyes, but the poison ivy :o yikes, heehee
We do hope it goes away soon so she can give attention to you :)
Purrs Tillie and Georgia
Man, Hendrix...too much going on at your house. We hope that Joel learns to finds you less interesting.
I wonder what Joel would think of ME?
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
Wow, we hardly even know where ta start.
So first, "good control of the bed". TBT just spreads the shhets and blankie over us iffen we stay on the mattress. Then we have to crawl out later.
Glad ya are dealin with the gates (though we dont quite unnerstand what those things are as we have the whole house).
Whats poison ivy to cats> WE never get it. TBT says he thinks we gave it to him once, but so what? We give him our ticks too. Well, HE is better at getting them off HIM than WE are at gettin them off US, so he should do that for us!!!
Sorry the hots arrived. It has been bad here too. Hope it gets better soon.
I like to help with the sheets like that too, Mr Hendrix. I'm glad you're getting a bit of peace with the gates.
