Ta Ta Tuesday

Hey all! Lets help Save the Boobies! Max has an awesome raffle going to help raise money to save the boobies.

Like Max says, what would we rest our heads on at night? What would we walk across to wake them up? What would the men have to stare at when the mommies are talking? What would little Joel crab for eleventy seven times a day if there were no boobies?

Mommy is trying to figure out how to put up a video of my playing with the fling-ama-string so we're going to post that tomorrow. Wish us luck! If you haven't ordered yours from Baby Patches' store yet, go NOW!

Monday Monday

First, our good thoughts and purrs are very powerful. One of mommy's oldest and closest friends is the Purrageous Pirates' mommy. She is carrying a blurpy boy and is sick. She needs lots of positive thoughts and prayers. purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs

Everyone has been so nice in welcoming our little blurpy boy #2, um, I mean Joel. Sorry, old habits die hard (especially when the little stinker screams so much he disturbs my beauty rest).

The Purrageous Pirates mommy and daddy sent a book of great fairy tale stories that we already sit and read to Joel and some great outfits.

He wore one to his first bebbehVET appointment.

He hates the VET as much as I do!

Tracy, Fat Cat Muffin (at the Bridge), Raja and Midi sent us this sweet card. Even Muffin signed it! We'll treasure the sentiment always. Hugs and purrs to you all.

And look at what Daisy Mae Maus, the Feline Americans and their mommy Jessica sent Baby Joel! Can you believe how cute all this is? Hey, I'm secure enough in my Mancathood to appreciate cuteness. I can't believe how talented her mommy is to make the layaround stuff. Oh, mommy says it is called a "layette."

The blanket and hat came in handy after the little guy got his bath. Oddly enough, he likes them! I think he just like the ability to pee freely and blame the warm water. ha ha ha That kid can pee the distance too! Perhaps a future gold medalist?

After he gets out of a bath, he needs to be bundled all up to stay warm.

Check out the funny onesies!

I'm not sure which end is Joel's best, but Bendrix is most impressed with the backside. When they say "explosive poopies" in newborns, they mean it! Joel wore the "little rookie" onsie today when mommy and daddy and Joel took their first outing to the local icecream place.

Now, you may wonder, what have I been up to?? Mommy got me some great toys from Baby Patches store. The Fling-ama-String is the greatest toy ever! I'll post those pictures tomorrow, if Joel lets mommy have both hands to type again.

We are working very hard getting around to thank everyone for their warm welcome to Baby Joel. If we haven't gotten to you yet, we will soon!!

Funny Friday

Yeah the little guy has a sense of humor.

Apparently so do I.

Lots of things have changed since Baby Joel came into the house. It is nice to know that the Mancave is still the MANcave tho.

Go check out the special Friday post over at Zoolatry. They created a sweet and beautiful picture of me. You have to go there and view it!

Friday Update

Wow! We can't believe it has been a whole week since Joel was born. He has been home for 4 1/2 days and things are going great with me and him. He isn't a bad little guy...but "#2" has certainly taken on a whole new, and disgusting meaning. gag.

I won't make that mistake again...

I mean, yeah, he is cute, but how bright can he be? Check out what all Little Bit's kittens are doing and Joel can't even figure out a litter box. Well, he is a product of my human beans so it is to be expected I suppose.

Bendrix sayz "Yeah, the flash is annoying but, hey man, at least she hasn't dressed you up in some type of costume yet"

Bendrix has been chatting with Joel about how to get out of wearing costumes (Joel doesn't like caps either) and making diaper changing time difficult. Man that kid can pee the distance. Good thing mommy was wearing her glasses! ha ha ha. You can actually hear him fill a poopy diaper from across the room. Nice. Nice.

The changing pad is sooooo comfy. It fits my contours perfectly. No worries gang, it is clean when I lay on it!

Can you believe he actually fit INSIDE the mommy?

Mommy and daddy say they couldn't ask for a better response from me. They are making sure I get my special mommy and then daddy time. My box is being changed and I'm even getting extra treats for good behavior.

I'm not big on sharing, but this sunbeam was big enough for both of us AND I didn't have to share my snuggle.

Thanks all for the awesome welcome to my little brother. Mommy is going to print them on special paper and put them in his scrapbook.

Mommy's incision is kinda hurty (no more than expected) so it is hard to blog right now, but we'll hopefully be getting around to visit my friends next week. Take care all and we'll be seeing you soon! Til then, we hope you've enjoyed these pics of me and Joel bonding.

Introducing Joel William

And now....Introducing Joel William!!!

Mommy talked to Catherine, the Purrageous Pirate's mommy tonight and gave her the scoop to announce to the blogosphere. We're pretty beat here but everything went great and the beans and #2 aka Joel are home. I can NOT believe how much noise can come out of something that small.

He was born Friday, July 10, 2009 at
8:36AM. He weighed 7lbs 11.7oz and was 20 1/4" long.

We would have sent photos way earlier, but the wireless at the hospital was terrible and mommy and daddy kept getting booted off. It isn't smart to frustrate a new mommy either...

These are photos from the first day. We have lots more from Saturday and today,
but haven't uploaded them yet. They offered mommy the chance to come home a day
early so getting Joel home this afternoon took all our time.

Thank you all for your good thoughts and wishes. We'll be thanking you personally in the next couple weeks, but for now will take a few days off to get in a routine (and for me to train...)

Love, Mommy Amy, Daddy Greg, Big Brother Hendrix and Little Baby Joel

Final Countdown

It's the Final Countdown!!

dodododo, do do do do do, dodododo, do do do do do do do, do do do do, dododododo, do do do do, dododododododo, do, dododododo, do DOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I won't apologize that those are the only words I know of that song...

One week from today #2 will start his first full day at home (mommy says that she'll be in the hospital for 4 days with the C-section coming home on Monday). I have been very busy helping get things ready and snoopervise my beans as they clean clean clean.

Although Bendrix wants to have a good ol' fashioned House Trashin' pah-TAY, I think it would be better to just have an "Exploring Party." Now, many of you have been here before and you're probably wondering what is left to explore? Tons of new stuff!

Here is a sample of some things we can check out:

New things to climb up and nap in!

New soft places to nap.

Activity centers to whap and are also apparently good for "tummy time."

Mommy has 12 regular bird feeders for birdwatching and 3 hummingbird feeders. I find it is nice to nap while in front of the reality TV window.

We can share all 4 of my fresh nip plants too (don't worry, they are much bigger since this picture was taken)!

I hope to see you all here to explore the new stuff and make sure it is safe and soft for #2. After all, if his stuff is good, he won't want mine!

This is a picture of my mommy and woofie cousin Mason taken last week at my cousin's graduation party just for my woofie friends.

We honor the brave men and women who over the history of America have protected our freedoms.

It has been a rough few years for the USA and mommy and I thought we could all use a laugh. We think the following is appropriate...

Mommy is finished with work and we are going to try very hard to visit all our friends this coming week before #2 comes. Mommy is feeling very heavy, tired and hot so daddy and I are spending lotsa time making her feel better. Only 6 days left!!!
