Talk / Meow Like Pirate Day
Arg! Ahoy ye landlubbing friends, Talk / Meow like a Pirate Day has finally arrived! I be extra excited to get to blog 'n to read all me bucko's a ruckas messages. These websites Talk Like a Pirate and Post Like a Pirate a big help to anyone needin' it...or just wantin' to have a ruckas
My beans spent all day Saturday talking like a pirate at Pirate weekend at the Renaissance Festival but I didn't feel left out...unfortunately...
I got to wear my Halloween costume early. Guess what our Halloween theme is going to be??

My pirate name is Eye-Gougin' Radley Drake my ship is The Damned Jewel of the North
I'm getting a lot of use out of a pirate translator
For example:
Stinky boy becomes "Stinky Lad"
"Go Away" becomes "Go away Ya bilge rat"
"Give me a treat now" becomes "Give me a treat now Ya bilge rat!"
"I want stinky goodness" becomes "I want stinky goodness Ya landlubber who ortin' t' be keel hauled!"
I could totally get into 'tis 365...Here I be givin' orders to me humans

The Stinky Lad's pirate name is Nervous Hubert Slaughter. He dont look to nervous wit' that sword tho!

I be generally grog-filled bein' a landlubbin' kitty wit' no rum anywhere not in me bowl, but this day, ARG! I'll be a scurvy pirate cap'n 'n runnin' a tight ship.
Heartly enjoy th' day

Mary Catherine Davis and Beau - Tribute
Mommy was just able to sit down and help me post this. She just couldn't bring herself to until now.
Beau and mom Cathy were early visitors to our blog and stuck with us even when we weren't posting much.
Reading Beau's blog was fun and often made us laugh. Their Sunday sermon somehow always seemed relevant to where we were in our lives.

We will miss dear Cathy so much and also the updates on how Beau is doing. We hope her sister pops in to let us know how he is.

Fotography on Friday
Hi! Mommy realized that she hasn't been taking many pictures of just me me me lately. So, out the flashy box came. Rats. At least I look good.
I'm feeling lots better. The antibiotic helped a lot and I'm not snarfing anymore. I'm back to asking politely (mommy calls it demanding but I disagree) for my stinky goodness and using my litterbox without problems.
Thanks for the concern and happy thoughts!

Fun with Friends on Friday
One of the happyish (I say "ish" cause I wasn't invited) things that kept my beans busy was going to the Atlanta area to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins. While they were there, mommy got to meet the human members of the Purrageous Pirate family!

You may not know that thru a magazine called Victorian Decorating and Lifestyle, mommy and the furry Purrageous Pirate kitties mommy "met" and became pen pals. That was twelve whole years ago and this was the first time they met in person!
They got to go to tour the historic Oakland Cemetery and had a nommy lunch together. Mommy said now she knows why the area is nicknamed "Hotlanta." Wow it was hot! The sweet tea made it all worthwhile she said...that and the wonderful company.

She was so very happy meeting her dear friend Catherine in person. She still smiles and tears up every time she sees the pictures and thinks about it.
I laugh cause even tho my stinky boy is two years old, he was shorter than the Cabin Boy who is 4+ months younger! ha ha ha The Cabin Boy sure looks nice and cute. I wonder if he gives his kitties a break or if they take turns. Like tag team wrestlers.

Mommy said being at Oakland Cemetery with the 20 Union soldiers and the 2500 Confederate soldiers buried there was even more moving and emotional because they went over 4th of July weekend. We are very glad we are still one country that can celebrate freedom together (especially with grilled chicken...and salmon)!!!

Mommy will never forget meeting the human Purrageous Pirates or the fun she had in Hotlanta...and the tea...
