Tucked in Tuesday - Big Red's Tail
No, I will not pose for you after your sausage remark.
Well, Bendrix got up on the piano in retaliation and MY retaliation came after we got yelled at...I would NOT come near mommy all night or at bedtime. Finally she got up out of bed and came and got me.
I forgave her and slept on her all night. Ignoring the mommy and acting "scared" of her is good revenge cause it hurts her feelings like she hurt mine. Really, we aren't allowed on piano cause it is so tall and covered in antique glassware mommy in-hair-ited. She doesn't want me, or the glass, to get hurt.
This is Big Red. He has been the only "red squirrel" in our yard for years. Then, about 3 months ago, we noticed Big Red has a girlfriend (you can tell cause he has nooticles and she doesn't). We're hoping to see lotsa "Little Red" babies this Spring. He is a very smart squirrel and has a great tail. He got over the huge long raccoon baffle to get up on that hopper. He has done it 4 times and we have no idea how. He must jump as good as me!
Enjoy all that April Fools Day Fun all!!

Not going on the piano sounds like a good idea so that you don't get hurt. Our humans have given up on having anything breakable out where we can get at it, because although we are normally good boys, we also get into everything.
Big Red looks like a very cute squirrel. Our humans say squirrels here in Germany look different than back in North America. All we know is that the squirrels here are red, have curly ears, and are fun to watch!
I admire the heart you have on your collar ! wow, it's pretty ! It's a shame that you are not allowed to exploit your musical talents on the piano ! Try it with singing during the night, it will be very appreciated at least !
We only have red squirrels in Belgium no grey once. I saw them for the first time in the States. But there are only very few and I don't see them often. It looks quite "fat", lol ! Hope you can show us baby pictures !
I think it is good of you to forgive your human, but only after she was sufficiently punished! You handled that like the Master you are Hendrix.
WOW Big Red is very smart and agile to be able to jump like you!
I fink that you gave your Mommie a good punishment too. And laying on her afterward was a good way to make up!
Oh yes Bendrix, acting scared and hurt is an excellent way to get back at the Mum - they will do just about anything then to get back in our good books - good job!
Great job Hendrix/Bendrix! I try to make mommy feel bad when she scolds me, and then I snuggle with her to make her feel better.
Ivy just causes trouble. She made mommy drop her purse and almost late for work because she ran into the garage and hid under the big metal monster this morning. Ivy is on the naughty list for today.
what if you ask your mom for piano lessons in return for not getting on it where the glass stuff is?
We'll hafta try that the next time mom yells at us! Skwerrels are fun, we watch dem run around and act silly all spring.
We don't want you to get hurt either!! You should be careful, and avoid playing on the piano.
We really like that squirrel. It would be fun to see some babies.
How big are those man-squirrel berries anyway. Were you looking through binoculars?
Hendrix, making the human feel guilty is one of the best courses of action indeed. I salute you!
Cool squirrel buddy ya got there Mr. H! He seems like he'd be lotza fun to watch - we bet squirrel babies are real cute too!
Thank you so much for the Blogosphere story you did on Meep - that was furry thoughful of you.
Big Red look tasty.
I can see this happening:
squirrel gets into feeder; squirrel eats his fill over and over; squirrel gets fat and slow and can no longer outrun the mighty black hunter cat. Yummm... squirrel...
I'm not allowed on the piano either, but how can I play pretty music for Delilah if my mom won't let me up there? Bleh!
My mom gets up in the night to come get me if I'm not sleepin' with her, too-she must love me.
Oh Hendrix, I forgot to thank you for the kitty grass seeds. That is going to be fun to eat once I plant it (and it grows, of course).
I wrote you a note on the Swap n Tails thing and I wrote that I want to send you a package. I don't care of other gifts are on their way or well anything. I'm not at work so I don't know if I saved you address. Please send it to me at my mom's e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
You are such a wonderfully sleek panther. I wanted to let you know that my mom has also noticed that I've put on some weight. She says I'm chunky. I may just lie my chunkiness on top of her face one night to see just how heavy I really am.
Happy April Fool's Day, dood! Your skwirly buddy looks tasty!
How funny - we thought we had the only "Big Red"! We have lots of black and grey squirrels, but only one Big Red (but then the other day we saw a second - so maybe we'll get baby reds too!).
Big Red looks very chubby and yummy.
I think you got mom's awareness up about hurt feelings. She will probably not boss you around for a little while.
Great that you got to sleep with ehr all night. Bendrix is quite a trouble maker!
Sometimes I think that our moms just don't understand how sensitive we are to those sorts of remarks. I still haven't been able to train my mom yet!
That looks like a super fat squirrel! Yeah, now who really is the sausage?
Wow, we Heart squirrels too! That is a big squirrel!
Oh do not eat the little squirrel because as you said, there will be babies in spring time for you to watch as the scamper about. And do stay off the piano or there could be a big crash...that would not be good as you might get hurt Mr. Hendrix and I love you way too much for that to happen:)
You should have a chat with your mum as you are svelt and not at all a sausage! Mommy is German and knows a knackwurst when she sees one!
Love from Miss Peachy
Big Red has a girlfriend? I bet you do see babies soon! About the sausage remark - I think it probably is better to forgive and forget!
The guilt trick was very good of you! I hope that those baby squirrels don't bug you like the daddy! The servant says I will be seeing more squirrels soon, there is still too much snow for their liking.
I'm glad you were able to show Mommy she was wrong. She should never call you any bad names again now!
Big Red looks really cool! I hope you get to see some little reds soon too!
Love Clover xo
P.S. You do not look like a sausage in the last post!
I'm sorry that your Mom hurted your feelings. You had every right to make her feel guilty.
That is a huge red squirrel. Most of the ones around here are gray but there are a couple of black ones too.
Baby squirrels! Those will be fun to hunt...watch! ~Queen Snickers
