It does not matter what day or time it is or place she is, when mommy hears this song on the radio. She stops, listens, and cries.
Brothers In Arms
Dire Straits
These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowlands
And always will be
Some day you'll return to
Your valleys and your farms
And you'll no longer burn
To be brothers in arm
Through these fields of destruction
Baptism of fire
I've watched all your suffering
As the battles raged higher
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms
There's so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
Now the sun's gone to hell
And the moon's riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it's written in the starlight
And every line on your palm
We're fools to make war
On our brothers in arms

Powerful song. We can never be thankful enough, nor can we thank them enough...
MK makes my mom go weak!
Great choice my tasty pal!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
And we'll remember them!
We will remember them.
Hi Mr. Hendrix! Thanks so much for checking in with me. I've read all your recent blog posts. I see you are teaching Joel how to be a good bean, but he probably needs to learn to take cat naps too! I understand how much you miss your guy bean. I've decided that the Food Dude is the Best Person of All in the Entire Universe. The Food Lady has tried to convince him to take over the blog but he says no. I'm very happy in my forever home, but I wish the Food Dude would just sit on the couch all the time so I could sit on him. We had the actual Animal Cops at the house the other day. Maybe I will convince someone to write about that. Lots of love to you, Joel and the Big Beans, Jackpot and His People
what a lovely tribute!!!
Hendrix, tell your mommy that my mom got her note on Friday and said it was an uplifting treat after a crappy week. She was very touched! (And not in the mental way, I mean.)
