Wordy Wednesday - Doctor's Orders

Mommy got three shots in her back that makes her back feel better.

The doctor's orders are to take it easy and stay on the couch on ice today.

So, Joel is at daycare, daddy is at work and mommy and I are watching Alias season 2 on DVD and napping today. Man that Jennifer Garner kicks serious b*tt. She makes mommy feel like she should be doing push ups and stuff tho.

I love my nursing duties.

Wordy Wednesday

Hi! Sorry we've been MIA but mommy got a sinus infection and had trouble holding her head up. Yesterday was daddy's birthday! His Wii Fit age is 28 so we'll stick with that. ha ha ha

We are very impressed with all our friends who played our quote game! We wish we'd gotten more guesses, but we haven't been able to visit around a lot so haven't gotten many visitors. There is still time to play!!! You have all day today so take a guess. Even if you only know a couple or want to add your favorites, we'd love to hear from you.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for the answers and the winners!

Mommy finished my Christmas Card and now she is putting all the emails together. She promises it will go out this week. We've gotten some great ones from friends and they are on the piano right now. I have more than my beans!

It is very cold here and I'm glad to spend the days napping on the sofa with mommy. Baby Joel sleeps in a cage (aka pack n play or crib) where he belongs.

Wordy Wednesday

Hi all! Brandi's mommy Carol is having some temporary green paper problems. Her paperwork was filed wrong for her leave from work, and now Brandi is having tummy troubles and Carol can't afford the VET.

The sweet
KC, Missy & Gang said that they think we could hold a one time auction to help them.

Mommy is going to go thru her stuff to see what cool things we can donate for an auction. Is anyone interested in helping? We know green papers are tight for everyone...

On a personal note, the d#mn starlings are back. We hate hate hate those birdies. They eat all the seed and bully the other birds. Not to mention they poo all over everything and are LOUD. Any of you kitties that go outside to hunt want to come over and eat???

Wordy Wednesday

I'm so bummed all my Christmas decorations got put away. Luckily my village is still standing.

I'll especially miss the nativity my mommy got me. I liked rubbing it. Can you tell why?

yup! That is baby Jesus "hatching" there. Cute huh? Mommy got it just for me.

I really miss my beans now that they are back to work. Luckily mommy works from home some days and I get to help her. In this photo, I'd just walked across the laptop and helped her "write" a press release.

Well, I'm off to lay on my Village so it can't be taken down. It is rainy and snowy here in SW Ohio. On the plus side, the birdies come up to eat more!

Wordy Wednesday

Guess what! I got another Swap N Tails Package yesterday. It took a long time to get here cause it came a loooooooooooooong way. All the way from Portugal to Ohio! Wowee! I love having friends from all over this great planet!

It was from Nika, Cauita, Whitie and Paula, at Gato Dependente sent mommy and me a lovely package.

My mommy got beautiful scrapbook papers, a card with a black kitty stamp on it, stickers and a pretty kitty. But enough of that silliness...
I got cool mousies!!!

I wanted to post more photos, but the Dread Pirate Blogger won't let me! I've tried all morning!

Wordy Wednesday

Mommy is going to be uber busy tomorrow so we're posting our Wordy Wednesday early. Fat Cat Muffin tagged us for the book Meme. Mommy is reading couple of books right now, and the closest is one she is rereading. It is by her favorite Author Nelson DeMille. The book is called Night Fall and it is sooooooooooo good. If you have not read Nelson DeMille, please do (except for the latest "Wildfire." Mommy found that to be one of the biggest let downs she's ever had). Anyway...
She turned to page 123, read down five lines and now am quoting the next three:
"He lookes at me and said,"I concluded that all six believed they saw something rise into the sky - a streak of light - and that this streak of light was traveling toward the vacinity of the aircraft, which subsequently exploded."
I'm tagging
and William of Mass Destruction
and Zevo Calamari & Boo
and Max the Psychokitty. Don't forget kitties...Max is writing another best seller and he is available to answer your questions! Be sure to "Ask Max"!!!

I was also tagged by Kellie the Orange Cat for the "My Five Sense"A"Shuns MeMe that was started by Zoolatry. I've enjoyed everyone else's so I hope you like mine!

With my beautiful eyes I can see..........My pretty Brandi's picture

With my soft nose I can smell..........My nummy catnip plant

With my velvet paws I can touch..........Whatever the h*ll I want (sorry, that was Bendrix). I say the back of the sofa.

With my sharp ears I can hear..........The fridge opening (my stinky is in there!)

With my sandpaper tongue I can taste..........My tummy!!

I'd like to tag Chance Bondand Zoey & the Furballs
and Mr. Echo & Tenny
and Fat Eric

Wordy Wednesday - When "Effort" Pays Off

So last night mommy was doing lotsa laundry and because the laundry room is off the kitchen, she had to make several trips by the fridge (where the open stinky goodness resides). I kept following her, meowing, chirping, anything to get her attention and let her know "I'd like some stinky goodness please."

She kept saying "Oh sweetie, you've already had all your stinky for the night. There are fresh crunchies in your bowl..."
But I didn't want crunchies, I wanted stinky goodness!

So finally, on what was to be one of her last trips into the kitchen with the laundry. I leapt from my spot by the bedroom door and ran as fast as my tiny kitty feet could carry me into the kitchen. Pitter patter pitter patter MEOW!

And guess what happened.....Mommy said "Oh Hendrix, that was such a good effort and you put so much energy into that I'll give you a little more."

And she did.

I am exhausted from the effort, but must say, on occasion, using that extra energy pays off very well!

I have a great photo of my "beggin' eyes" but stoopid blogger won't let me post it. It keeps telling me "You must enter at least one image" when I did select my image! duh.
