Tagged On Tuesday - VET Appnt.

I got Tagged! The gang at Jan's Funny Farm , the pretty Sophie Kitty AND Prince Tybalt, Ivy & Holly tagged me for the Seven Weird Things MeMe. I feel very lucky to have been tagged by so many people. A lot of times my mentor HRH Yaolin will tag me/Bendrix or I don't get tagged! This is a fun one cause I have lotsa unique quarks (not "weird" just "unique")

Here are the rules:

Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog. Share seven random and/or weird facts about yourself. Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a notification on their blog. Here are my 7 weird things:

1. As a former feral, I am not a lap cat. However, when mommy had her sinus surgery last year and was stuck laying on the couch (so she wouldn't keep daddy up all night) I started laying on her legs when she'd cover up and go to sleep. Now I will only lay on her legs when she is laying down on the couch, pretending to sleep and ONLY if she has an afghan over her legs.

2. I have the loudest purr ever and I'm not afraid to use it. After all, with an evil alter ego, hitting the purr motor and doing some head rubs helps prevent much yelling. I purr so loud that I can be heard over the phone and can even wake my beans up!

3. I only just started making biscuits a few months ago. I was rescued Nov. 2004 and never did that before. I only do it at night, on the big bed and on my mommy.

4. I sleep with mommy. Wherever she is, couch, bed, chair, that is where I am. I love daddy, but he isn't as tolerant of my night time "fluffing" of his side as mommy is.

5. I have to be gassed at the VET. I know I've talked about this before, but people can not believe it cause normally I'm a sweetie. Bendrix has, and I joke not, tore up VETs and VET Techs for years before they recommended I get "tranqued before examining." That warning pops up on the VET's computer screen whenever they look me up.

6. I want my stinky goodness plate set right in front of me. I do not want to have to walk even 6 inches to where it it. I want it under my nose and if it isn't, I look at my beans like they are dense and meow impatiently until they move it. They always do.

7. I am a MESSY eater of crunchies. I take a huge bite and shake my head and crunchies fall all over. I have a nice purple mouse shaped mat that usually catches my dropped ones, but sometimes they really get "air" and wind up all over the floor. It is funny when mommy or daddy walk by in socks and step on a cruchy. It isn't funny when they land in my water bowl.

Bendrix wanted to do one of these too so I said OK. Here is his.

1. Mommy can always tell when I'm being naughty cause I get very quiet. Hendrix is usually making some type of noise, purring, chirping, meowing (he has a lot to say!). So my naughty behavior is signaled by a couple of minutes of quiet, usually followed by the thud of my butt landing somewhere it doesn't belong.

Lets see....this is hard.
I tag my Sweet Lady Cat Brandi
Max & Buddah because I'm sure their lists will be awesome.
My twin William of Mass Destruction
My buddies Captain Jack & The Dread Pirate Dante (I just made that up - he is looking for a fabulous name, and a lady pirate to sail the seas with!)
and the fabulous Zoey (and any "Furballs" who want to play)
and of course, Bendrix likes to break the rules and he picks:
The mesmerizing Missy Blue Eyes
And our favorite banannarama fan Princess Pixie

I am posting this early as I have a VET appointment at 9:20am. Jeez, that is prime morning napping time! I guess I can sleep under the gas. My piddle has been smelling like amon-ea the last couple of days. I'm not drinking lots extra or anything, but mommy wants to nip any problems that may come up in the bud. We don't think it is serious, but any nice thoughts would be appreciate.

**Update** I have a UTI so I got an anty-biotik shot (I was sleepin so it wasn't to bad) and another shot of Vitamin B to stimulate my appitite. Can you believe I lost 10oz?? The VET thinks it is cause I wasn't feeling good and the stress of the holidays. All blood work shows I'm OK. I have to be on anty-biotik liquids for 10 days, but after that should be all better.

Bendrix points out that now that we have our appetite stimulated, and of course lots weight, that mommy and daddy have an excuse to spoil us with stinky goodness!!**

W00t! Thanks for the tag, Hendrix! I'm sorry you have to go to the cat fix-it place tomorrow--I feel for ya, bro. If you can believe this, my mom made me and Kangaroo girl go on Christmas Eve day to get shot! How mean was that?? Anyway, we all hope your visit turns out A-OK.

Oh, you are such an interesting cat. We enjoyed reading about you. And you have a lot of friends.

We don't want Jan to read your post. She's been trying to figure out how we keep getting crunchy pieces in strange places around where we eat.

Who's Bendrix? We haven't known you very long and we're kind of confused.

Ugh. The Vet. I hate the Vet. Hopefully they won't find anything serious. Keep us up to date.

And as for making biscuits, Mom calls them "happy feet." My sister Phoebe was a shelter cat and didn't make Happy Feet until she saw her older adopted brother Moose do them. It took her a while to master it but she now makes them better than all of us!

That was a very good list. We are sorry you don't like the vet and have to be gassed. The last time Tiki was at the vet, he had to stay for a couple of hours and he yowled himself hoarse.

Oh Hendrix, are you OK now? Have you recovered from your anesthesia?

Now about #7, perhaps you missed my posting about "food art" a while back. I haven't done any projects lately, but I always like to encourage aspiring young artists. Keep up the good work!

I am so happy to learn more thing about you, you are so cute~!!
I like to sleep with Michico "only" as well, she is just like my Mommy~!

I really like your list, Hendrix. You are really creative with your eating. I find it really interesting that Bendrix gives himself away by being too quiet.

Dragonheart, Merlin, Devi, and Chloe said...

Good luck at the vet's, Hendrix. We hope everything is okay. Merlin has to go to the vet tonight for booster shots.

We enjoyed reading those facts about you and Bendrix. Dragonheart only kneads mom or dad when he is being petted through a fleece blanket, and only when they are sitting in specific spots. Merlin hasn't shown any kneading activity yet.

What a great list! It's always fun to learn more about our friends. Sorry about the vet though, hope everything goes well.

We've nominated you for an award over on our bloggie - stop by!

Those are some very funny things! I am glad Bendrix got to participate, too. Thanks for tagging Pixie. She is going to think about hers for a bit before she posts.

ps: good luck at the V-E-T. I will purr for you!

Oh dear Mr. Hendrix - eats lots of goodies and get rid of whatever bug you have!
You and Bendrix do have a great excuse to get lots of extra treats now!

Hi there! Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I am new and haven't had too many visitors. I am trying to check some other cat blogs but it takes awhile. We have a reeeaaalllyyy slow computer out here in the woods. Been reading yours, very funny my fellow mancat. Those deer...wow man!!!!!! I came nose to nose to a bunch of cows last summer and that was enough of hooved beasts for me. Glad to see your trip to the v. e. t. went well and you are on the mend.

haha what an excellent post...firstly, I LOVE the fact that you force the human to move your food nearer to you. That is first class feline excellence, right there.

I think it is hilarious that the humans know when bendrix is around because you go 'all quiet'. I imagine crucifixes start falling off the wall and the sky turns red too? he he he

I am sorry to hear of your uti, I do hope you feel better shortly and I firmly believe you should be fed 100% extra!! xx

Thanks for postin' 'bout us on the CB, extra good thoughts are always furry appreciated!!

Sunny's Mommy said...

I don't think I've ever heard of a cat purring as loud as you :-0

I'm glad your Mommy took you to the vet and caught your UTI early. Try to be good for your Mommy and take your medicine without any fighting.

Captain Jack and Sir Dante said...

Ack! We hope you feels lots better soon Hendrix. Antibotics are no fun! Thanks for tagging us - we'll get on it as soon as Mommy feels better (she's home sick today too).

Dante really likes "Dread Pirate Dante", and thinks he may have to use it too. His name is going to be longer than him soon but Mommy says in honor of you guys, he can be Sir Dante when he is being dashing and knightly and Dread Pirate Dante when he is being more piratelike. What do you guys think?

Glad to know that it's only something minor and it can be fixed with antibiotics. Love reading about your quirks! Now that you have mentioned it I do recognize your dad's hat. Sassy and I are his fellow alumni now, hope he doesn't mind that :) As a present I don't mind donating some of my hair to him but it is grey and he would not look too good with it.

Hey, fellas, I'm so glad the V-E-T caught the UTI early! Those can be really awful and sometimes painful. I'm a leg-sleeper, too, which drives my mom crazy since it makes her feel pinned down, but she loves so tries not to move too much!

Great list Hendrix and Bendrix. We're glad your UTI was caught early so it shouldn't take long to clear up.

Sorry you had to go to the V-E-T! Hope you're feeling better soon. I absolutely loved your unique quarks. I like to make biscuits on my mommie during the night, too.

We had to sneak over here to tell you thanks for the great advice on the evil alter ego scheme. We don't want Jan to catch on in case we need to use this with her one day.

We're sorry we didn't know who Bendrix is but we hadn't met when you wrote about him. We just went back and read your Feb 27, 2007 post about how you figured out you have an evil alter ego, Bendrix. Good thing you figured it out before you got blamed for everything.

Goodness, Hendrix/Bendrix! I'm so sorry you have an infection, but you are right . . . there are worse things than being spoiled and demanding extra sticnky goodness. You are your beans sick baby, after all!

I loved your seven things, and Ivy was THRILLED to see that Bendrix added his own! Ivy ran into the basement TWICE yesterday and made mommy yell. She's been on a real thrill seeking streak lately.

I think you got a competitor, Lisa also purrs so loud that I can hear her in another room ! and she has a very strange purring it is a mixture between a pigeon and and a (loud) cat.
Thanks for the purrs for Mr. Gattino, but there must be an error (fortunately) because he is in best health so it must be another kitty's dad, lol !
